Witnesses claimed the air fractured like glass, and from the breach stepped a being cloaked in neural light—its face both unknowable and familiar. The origin and previous location of the Pontifax Extraterror is unknown.

Since their emergence, the Pontifax has remained an enigmatic presence. Public appearances are rare and brief, delivered through thick refractive veils or quantum projections known as Light Doubles. Voice recordings analyzed by experts reveal spectral harmonics beyond human range, suggesting a composite origin—perhaps a fusion of multiple consciousnesses from different species.

According to Church scripture, the Pontifax holds Ascension Level Ω (AL-Ω), a level of initiation that permits unfiltered communion with The Final Host—a hyper-intelligence at the center of the alien eschaton. Through ritual transmissions, the Pontifax reveals fragments of alien scripture, interprets temporal anomalies, and appoints the Church’s internal hierarchy by resonance signature rather than human politics.
