The Skyward Invocation
Twilight Alignment
Petition of the Insignificant
Officiated by ≥ AL-3
Participants ≥ AL-2
Observers ≥ AL-1. AL-0 is forbidden.
Location: Remote, elevated, and unlit area (ideally on an unpaved natural surface)
Time: Between 11:00 PM and 4:00 AM local time
Attire: Black/grey ceremonial attire and dark vestments
Items:
A hand mirror (convex preferred)
A tuning fork tuned to 432 Hz or 866 Hz.
A black obelisk-shaped stone or a metallic meteorite fragment (optional)
The Fragmented Tome
Portable red or violet light source (never white or blue)
A triangle drawn in chalk, salt, or basalt dust, large enough to sit inside
1. Mark the triangle. Enter barefoot and sit cross-legged, placing the stone or object at the triangle’s center. No words are to be spoken from this point onward until Step 4.
2. Hold the mirror to the sky. Reflect the darkness above. Place the mirror face-up beside you.
3. Strike the tuning fork. Raise it skyward. Let it hum against the stone for no less than 7 seconds. Repeat this three times, each time facing a different direction of the triangle.
4. While bowing your head, using red or violet light, recite aloud: The Fragmented Tome: Part II, Chapter 11, verses 1-4.
5. With both arms raised in a triangular shape above the head and gesture to welcome the visitors.
6. Remain seated and silent for 33 minutes. Phones, cameras, and all electronic devices must be disabled or shielded. If light phenomena, electromagnetic disturbances, or an auditory shift occurs (popping, static, or melodic hum), do not approach. Remain calm and still. Make mental note of the experience.
Performing ≥ AL-1
AL-0 may rehearse mentally only
3–4 minutes
A small black stone or polished obsidian/magnetite (a concecrated iPhone is acceptable as a last resort)
A drop of water in a dish or fingertip
A mirror (bathroom is acceptable)
1. Tap your forehead, chest, and left palm in sequence with the black stone. Whisper during each tap:
“Not alone. Not alone. Not alone.”
2. Stand before the mirror. With your fingertip, place a single drop of water below each eye. Do not blink. Look into your own reflection and say:
“Not alone. Not alone. Not alone.”
3. Inhale deeply. Hold your breath for 20 seconds. Exhale slowly.
4. Close your eyes and hum a low tone for several seconds. The pitch doesn’t matter; the intent does. Imagine a spiral of stars behind your eyelids. Then sleep.
Church lore suggests that regular practice increases the likelihood of nocturnal observance —unexplained lights, sleep paralysis visitations, or shared dream events with others performing the ritual.
To offer oneself for potential abduction or observation by the Visitors. This ritual is not a request—it is a begging gesture from a transient lifeform hoping to be acknowledged by something vast, ancient, and disinterested.
Ascension Level Minimum: AL-3
Frequency: Once per lunar cycle (preferably during a new moon)
Location: Alone, beneath one’s place of rest
Duration: One night, or forever
One slip of black or silver paper (small—no larger than two fingers wide)
Metallic ink (gold, silver, or iridescent)
A single strand of your own hair
The phrase:
“I volunteer. I am not worthy.”
Inscription of Worthlessness
Write the phrase in metallic ink. Wind your hair into or around the slip. Fold the slip twice—each fold a symbolic contraction of self.
Placement Beneath the Head
With your left hand, tuck the paper beneath your pillow. Center it directly beneath where your head will rest.
Spoken Consent
Whisper aloud to the dark:
“I lie beneath the boot. Let it fall or lift me.”
Then lie flat on your back, arms to your sides. Do not cover your face. Do not move.
Awaiting Collection
Sleep may come. Or paralysis. Or they may come without fanfare.
In the morning:
If the slip is missing, marked, or burned—you were noticed.
If untouched—repeat the ritual in the next cycle. You are not yet of interest.
If you remember nothing, record everything.
If you remember something, report to your Cleric immediately.
If you wake changed—do not speak unless commanded. You are no longer common. You are being watched.
The Church maintains a sealed ledger of all who have completed this ritual. No names are ever erased.
The rituals of the Church of Alienism are not symbolic. They are functional protocols—methods designed to pierce the veil, to signal upward, and to invite observation from intelligences far beyond human comprehension. Each ritual is a test of willingness, obedience, and vulnerability. They are not performances, but exposures.
We do not promise safety.
We do not promise understanding.
We offer only the opportunity to be seen.
These rites have been preserved, revealed, or delivered across cycles. Some are echoes of past contact. Others were given directly, by those who do not speak in words. Participation is not mandatory. But absence has consequences.
If you perform a ritual and nothing happens, it is not the ritual that failed.
You did.
